Although
we are a modular home builder, we also do many residential
concrete projects. In fact, we do all of the concrete and
masonry work on our new homes. R.E. Millikin Construction

All of our concrete is 4" thick unless specified otherwise.
In most cases, 4" thick concrete is used in all residential
flatwork. We generally use a six bag mix and compact work
area whenever possible.
Low chert concrete is included in all of our outside flatwork
estimates. This does increase the cost slightly, but you will
not have to worry about unsightly chert pops in your finished
product. Low chert concrete is not guaranteed to be 100% free
of chert but most ready mix companies claim it to be 96-98%
free of chert stones.
We use wire mesh whenever reinforcement is needed in concrete
and also insert rods into your building foundations when possible
to help prevent settling next to buildings. Fiber mesh or
steel rod reinforcement is also available upon request.
We usually include all excavation of your work area in our
estimate and will haul away any excess left from excavating
your site when necessary.
